April 13 – 15, 2012
Farmers Branch and Euless Texas
The Dallas Stars are pleased to host the USA Hockey 2012 Disabled Festival April 13 – 15, 2012 in Farmers Branch and Euless Texas. The festival will consist of approximately 40 teams, within the four disciplines of Disabled Hockey: Deaf/Hard of Hearing, Special, Sled and Standing/Amputee. Teams in some divisions will compete for a chance to earn the title of Champion.
This is the first time that Dallas has been selected to host this event, and we are hopeful it is the beginning of a long relationship. The proposal was a joint effort between the Dallas Stars, the City of Farmers Branch Convention and Visitors Bureau, and the Texas Amateur Hockey Association (TAHA).
With the Festival only a short time away, there is plenty to do now, as the event will require a significant amount of volunteer effort and planning. More information will be posted in the future, regarding the opportunities to be involved in the hosting of this special event.
