Director of Coaches - Trevor Hanas

The Dallas Stars Selects are pleased to announce Trevor Hanas as the new Director of Coaches. Trevor brings a wealth of hockey knowledge and coaching experience to the Stars Selects and we are confident that he will lead our teams and development programs in the right direction.  Trevor is enthused about the coming season and the opportunity to help rebuild our team of coaches and the program as a whole.

Hockey History & Coaching Background:

Trevor played youth hockey at the highest levels and at age 16 he made the move to Major Junior Hockey, where he played 5 years in the Western Hockey League. Trevor was mentored under coaches in the WHL that have also coached in the NHL. He went to the Detroit Red Wings Training Camp in 1993 and the Chicago Wolves Camp in 1997.  Additionally, he played 5 years in both the East Coast Hockey League and the Central Hockey League.

Trevor coached a Bantam AA team in Illinois to 5^th in States before moving to Dallas 7 years ago where he has coached all levels from Mites-Midgets. The last 6 years he has coached AAA teams with the Dallas Ice Jets, Texas Attack, the Dallas Stars AAA, and the Dallas Stars Elite. Trevor also coached a Bantam Major team to Nationals placing 3^rd in the Nation. In addition to coaching youth hockey, Trevor is a scout for the Portland Winter Hawks in the WHL. Trevor and his family reside in Lewisville, Texas with his wife Kimberly and their 3 beautiful children: Cross, Cru, and Grace.
